We’re pleased to announce that Cyclone Version 3 is in development and will be available soon. This release is a complete rebuild of the platform, now powered by a fully optimized C++ engine. The result is a tool designed to handle larger models, deliver faster performance, and introduce new capabilities for technical workflows.
The current web version of Cyclone is limited to models of up to 4GB, due to the constraints of browser technology. Version 3 removes this limit. With no practical restrictions on model size, even highly complex models can be loaded and explored without the need for workarounds or data reduction.
The new architecture provides a noticeable increase in speed. Interacting with large or complex models is smoother and more responsive, reducing delays that can interrupt design work. This performance improvement makes it easier to maintain focus when working with demanding models.
Cyclone V3 also adds new features that extend the platform’s capability beyond what’s currently available in Version 2. These will be detailed at launch, but the emphasis is on enabling more efficient workflows for professional and enterprise users.
All Pro and Enterprise users will receive Version 3 as a free upgrade. For those who prefer the accessibility of a browser-based tool, Version 2 will remain available and supported in the short term. Version 3, however, is specifically aimed at teams and individuals who need to work with large or complex models without compromise.
Cyclone has always aimed to simplify the challenge of working with large models. Version 3 continues that goal, removing technical barriers and making it easier for nuclear professionals to concentrate on their work rather than the limitations of their tools.
